    Please join us in saluting Chicago Chapter member Manfred "Manny" Steinfeld, of Boca Raton, FL, who passed away this week at age 95.

    Manny served with the 82nd Airborne Division during WWII, jumped into Holland, and earned the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a member of the little known "Ritchie Boys", who served as German interpreters and interrogators. He also participated in the liberation of Woebbelin Concentration Camp on 02 May 1945 and the next day was part of the team that greeted Russian soldiers as the eastern and western fronts merged in the town of Grabow, Germany.

    Funeral Service + Airborne Farewell:
    Wednesday, 3 July at 13:30 at Jewish Chicago Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd. (at Niles Center Rd), Skokie, IL. We will meet at the funeral home by 12:45 to prep for our Farewell.

    Interment:
    Following Funeral Service, approx. 15:00. Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.

    Attire is funeral appropriate, including "Association Suit" (navy blazer, gray slacks, white dress shirt, black socks and belt, patriotic/military/airborne tie).
