    Please joins us to properly say goodbye to our longtime friend Alan Bold, 75, of Schaumburg, IL, who passed away on March 31, 2019.

    Alan served during the Cold War with A Troop (Airborne), 3rd Squadron, 8th Cavalry (8th Infantry Division) in Mannheim, Germany, from 1961-64. He was a proud Infantryman and paratrooper with the small but mighty recon unit who supported the 8th Inf Div and the 509th Infantry Regiment. Alan earned the rank of PFC and the Parachutist Badge. Alan was also a long-time and active member of our Chicago Chapter, 82nd Airborne Division Association.

    Visitation/Wake:

    Sunday, 02 June 2019 from 15:00 to 20:00 at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home located at 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg, IL. Our Chapter will send a floral arrangement.

    Funeral Service:

    Monday, 03 June 2019 at 11:30 at Church of the Holy Spirit located at 1451 Bode Road, Schaumburg, IL.

    Airborne Farewell/Military Honors:

    Following the funeral service at the church. Estimated time is 12:30. The family has also asked our chapter to support with 3 pallbearers.

    All Assn members, family and friends are invited to attend any event. Would like max participation at the Airborne Farewell.

    Dress code for the Airborne Farewell is "Association Formal" (navy blazer, white dress shirt, grey slacks, black socks/shoes/belt, beret, Assn or patriotic tie).
