With great sadness we share the news of the passing of Stanley "Stan" Gryga, of Chicago, IL, on 09 October 2021 at age 99. Stan was a Charter Member of the 82nd Airborne Association and an active member of our Chicago Chapter for many years. 

Stan served with HHC, 82nd Airborne Division, from 1942-1945, including all 82nd campaigns from Casablanca to Berlin. He earned the rank of T/4. 

Visitation: 23 Oct 2021, 10:00-11:00, at Divine Savior Catholic Church, 7740 W. Montrose Ave, Harwood Heights, IL 60706. We need a total of six (6) pallbearers to assist at 09:00. 

Funeral Service: 23 Oct 2021, 11:00, also at Divine Savior Catholic Church, 7740 W Montrose Ave, Harwood Heights, IL 60706. All Chicago Chapter members, family and friends are welcome to attend Stan's funeral service. 

Interment: 23 Oct 2021 following the Funeral Service, at approximately 13:00, at St. Adalbert Cemetery, 6800 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714. All Chicago Chapter members, family and friends are invited to attend the Interment. 

Airborne Farewell: Our Chicago Chapter will perform an Airborne Farewell for Stan during the Interment and just prior to Military Honors. All Chicago Chapter members are invited to participate in the Farewell. Attire is "Association Dress" (navy blazer, white button down dress shirt , gray slacks/skirt, black shoes, black belt, patriotic tie, beret or service cap) or funeral appropriate.
