The Chicago Chapter will once again march in the Memorial Day Parade in Naperville!
All chapter members are invited to march as a group. We'll have our parade banner and flags, and will also have a vehicle available for mobility-challenged members.
Attire is whatever Airborne gear you like, including military uniforms, polos, jerseys, t-shirts, whatever you like that is Airborne-themed. We have WWII replica paratrooper uniforms in various sizes if you'd like to wear one -- just let us know.
Agenda:
08:45-10:30 - Muster in the parking lot of Centennial Beach on Jackson Ave. Donuts, coffee and water provided. Please note that Jackson Ave will be closed to traffic by 09:30. There is parking available along nearby side streets and at the Naperville parking garage on Eagle Street by City Hall.
10:30-11:30 - Parade through scenic downtown Naperville. It's about a 20 minute walk from start to finish.
12:00-12:45 - Memorial Day ceremony at Central Park (end of the parade route).
13:00-14:00 - Free lunch for parade participants at the Judd Kendall VFW on Jackson Ave. Transportation will be available from the ceremony to the VFW hall.
The rain policy is that we march in light rain, but cancel for heavy rain.
