ON THIS DATE IN AIRBORNE HISTORY - 24 FEB 1991...

The 82nd Airborne Division stormed across the Iraqi border, kicking off the Ground War phase of Operation Desert Storm. Along with over 900,000 troops from 35 coalition forces, the Ground phase lasted just 100 hours and resulted in a resounding victory.
