Memorial Day Parade

Our Chicago Chapter will march as a group in the 2016 Memorial Day Parade on Monday, 30 May, in Naperville, IL. Step off for the parade will be at 10:30. 

Staging will take place at Centennial Beach, 500 W. Jackson Ave, from 08:30-10:15. We will have donuts, coffee and bottled water for you during staging. The parade route will wind through scenic downtown Naperville in front of a large, patriotic public. Following the parade, we will attend the Memorial Day ceremony at Naperville’s Central Park. Then, parade participants are invited back to Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873 for a free luncheon (transportation included). 

This will be the ninth consecutive year our chapter will participate in this terrific parade, marching behind our parade banner and Association colors. We will have vehicles available to carry our mobility-challenged members. All participants are encouraged to wear Airborne gear, including uniforms and berets if you have them and they fit. This event will feature our chapter Honor Guard, featuring classic WWII paratrooper uniforms.
